Thank you to everyone who joined us for an unforgettable afternoon celebrating the legacy, leadership, and history of our Hispanic community.
During this year’s LULAC Legends program, Ambassador Cynthia Telles accepted a special proclamation from the El Paso City Council honoring her father, Ambassador Raymond Telles, the first Mexican American elected Mayor of a major U.S. city and the first Mexican American appointed U.S. Ambassador.
October 14th is now officially Raymond Telles Day in El Paso.
We also honored the contributions of past and present leaders, reconnected with long-time LULAC members, and celebrated the impact of generations who paved the way for Latino representation.
The evening concluded with a beautiful dinner at Landry’s El Paso, where we shared stories, celebrated community, and reflected on the legacy of those who continue to inspire us.
